About Us

Run like a firm,
open like a community

We treat investing seriously because the habits, network, and discipline you build here translate directly into careers. Meet what we stand for, and the people behind it.

Mission

Why we exist

Investment Club at Aurora University gives students from every major a genuine, professional introduction to investing with hands-on portfolio practice, real market research, and direct access to industry guest speakers. We believe investing is a skill every student should learn, and we hold ourselves to a professional standard in how we teach it.

Vision

Where we're headed

To keep growing into a club that guest speakers, faculty, and future partners take seriously — while staying a place where any student can walk in on day one and start learning to invest, no matter their background.

The difference

Not your average student club

Consistency matters to us. We meet every Tuesday, build on what we learn, and give members meaningful reasons to stay involved throughout the semester.

01

Starts from zero

No finance background required. Every Tuesday starts with the assumption that you might be hearing a term for the first time — and that's fine.

02

Go beyond the basics

Members who want to explore further can attend guest speaker sessions, company visits, and industry events that bring investing and finance to life.

03

Learn by doing

Weekly group activities help you put what you've learned into practice.

04

Every major, one room

Students from different majors bring different ways of thinking, leading to stronger questions, broader perspectives, and better discussions.

Our operating principles

Open to everyone.

01

Stay curious

No one is expected to know everything. We ask questions, explain ideas clearly, and keep learning from the market and one another.

02

Think critically

We look beyond headlines, test ideas with research, and consider both opportunity and risk before forming a view.

03

Grow together

We share what we know, respect different perspectives, and create opportunities that help every member move forward.

Executive board
